September Achievements

We have seen some amazing performances by our members during September with Club Records being broken, personal best times being run and many competing in Ultra distances.

At the Middlesbrough Tees Pride Luke Minall set a new personal best and Louise Trainor was second in her age category.

In the Nottingham Half marathon (masters event) Brian Martin was second in both his age category and in the masters age group. Sandra Martin also ran a new personal best time for the distance.

Lucia Minto took part in the Ultra distance of 100k in the French Alps.

At the Wetherby 10k Dawn Richardson was 2nd in her age category.

In the Stewart Park relays the team of Michael Joyeux, Alex Kiel, Christian Brrown and Marc Ellis finsihed in 4th place.

In the Great North Run, Michael Joyeux, Kyle Cook, Dave Jones, Adrian Cottam, Phill Johnson and Dawn Johnston all earned new personal best times for the half marathon.

At the Vale of York half marathon Brian Martin finished first in his age category. Nicola Wells and Sandra Martin both ran new personal best times.

Alex Kiel won the Autumn Coast 5k with Brian McLaren, Juliette McLaren and Gill Colling all setting new personal bests.

Peter Rowley finished third in his age category at the Coxhoe 10k trail race.

In the NEMAA Championships Brian Martin and Dawn Richardson both took gold medals and finished first in their age categories for the 10k distance. Lindsey Lester in the Pentathlon (shot, long jump, 200m,800m and javelin) took the silver medal finishing in second place.

In the South Park 10 mile race Kyle Cook finished in 2nd place.

In the Hardmoors ultra distance of 60 miles which is really 62 mile we had Emily Beaumont, Michelle Boshier, Jamie Norman, Roy Macdougall, Wendy and Mark Colling all completed it.

At Snape Rob Dent finished in 5th place, Louise Trainor was the first female, Nicola Wells was second female and ran a personal best time.

At Wynyard in the new 10k trail race Michael Joyeux won the race. Dawn Richardson was first female. Danny Gordon was first in his age category.

We had Andrew Lambe, Darren Wright, Annette Clarke, Charlie Bogg, Lucia Minto and Abbie Hull competing in a 2 day mountain event.

In the Teesdale Triathlon Steven Major, Paul Roberts, Steven Johnston and Alec Cinamon took part.

Richard Hughes completed the G2G Ultra which is 273km and crosses deserts and started at the Grand Canyon.

In the men’s cross country relays the team of Alex Kiel, Rob Dent, Kyle Cook & Marc Ellis finished in third place.
