A fairly quiet week saw most Quakers heading over to the coast in search of championship points.

Ian Scott coming into the finish at Marske

That race took place midweek over at Marske, the Summer Coast Road 5K. Paul Dalton completed the two-lap route in 17:53 followed by Dave Jones (18:07), Chris Minto (19:53), Corey Horn (20:18), Louise Trainor (21:03 and second in her age category), Andrew Dixon (21:11, PB), Steven Major (21:17), Stephen Howell (21:45), Rob Gillham (22:18), Diane Vaughan (22:35 and first in her age category), Dave Murphy (22:39, PB), Simon Rek (22:58), Julie Russell (23:12), Ian Scott (26:32), Caroline Litster (27:08), Michelle Scruby  (27:26), Bex Stirland (28:26), Rachel Maddison (34:15), Laura Girard (34:15) and Naomi Dixon (36:17).

Also by the seaside were the four runners who did the Northumberland Coastal Run, a 14 mile route along the coastal path from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth. Katherine Hackett completed the distance in 1:49:16 along with Andrew Walker (2:02:29), Wendy Colling (2:07:22) and Sandra Cass (2:21:23).

Louise Trainor was the sole Quaker at the Yorkshire Wolds Half Marathon taking place at Bishop Wilton near York, finishing the 13.1 miles in 1:42:13.

At the Gerry Kearsley Summer Handicap on the outskirts of Sedgefield, Stuart Hardcastle completed the 6 mile trail route in an overall time of 56:59.

Karen Dove was over near Middlesbrough for the Eston Nab Challenge, finishing the hilly 10K route in 2:07:09.

Two headed up to the Town Moor at Newcastle on the Friday evening for the LGBT 5K Festival Run; Rob Gillham covering the distance in 22:27 along with Bex Stirland in 29:47.

In the Saturday morning parkruns, Marc Ellis finished at South Park in 18:19 followed by Dave Jones (18:33), David Matthew (19:28), Dawn Richardson (19:52), Phil Rutter (22:31), Ian Bond (23:05), Graham Park (23:27), Phil Clarke (23:29), Dale Chapman (23:50), Gary Read (24:29), Ginny Gannaway (25:04), Julie Whinn (25:30), David Whittle (25:31), Elizabeth Kennedy (26:24), Andrew Vernon (26:45), Robert Mcsherry (27:06), Paul Reid (27:31), Jennifer Hardy (28:30), Chris Land (28:36), Gill Colling (29:08), Martin Mcgregor (29:11), Tracey Plaskitt (29:15), Mark Trowles (30:02), Helen Spaven (30:14), Gareth Kyle (31:12), Hannah Stace (31:39), Mike Watson (32:36), Helen Clarke (32:36), Hannah Alderson (32:37), Sarah Watson (34:41), Rachel Maddison (34:42), Rachel Grayson (35:10), Wendy Thompson (38:57) and Gemma Marshall-Moore (41:51).

At Sedgefield, Dave Thompson finished in 24:13 along with Carl Foxton (29:04), Anneli Mackenzie Brown (29:18), Jo Meynell (29:51), Sally Singleton (32:30) and Naomi Dixon (39:08), while at Tees Barrage, Lewis Boshier ran there in 27:18 along with Michelle Boshier (27:21) and Sally Watson (36:12). At Albert Park, Lisa Reeve finished in 28:08 followed by Michelle Scruby (29:30), Hayley Wooding (30:10), Ruth Middleton (33:04), Caroline Whan (38:12), Linda Gossage (39:16), Sue Alexander (39:31) and Helen Cowan (39:32). Diane Vaughan did the Newcastle run in 22:46, David Ledgerwood ran at Prudhoe in 31:32, Rebecca Dodd finished at York in 29:19 and David Aiken did the Marshall Drive run in 20:42. At Catterick, Tom Chapman finished in 20:17 along with Claire Chapman (25:45) and Abbie Hull (27:02), Paul Roberts did the Sewerby run in 24:55, Michael Thompson ran at Halifax in 22:03 and Angela Taylor did the Castletown run in 31:07.
