With no races on the calendar last week, all the action took place the week prior, and all of it off-road.

The latest Hardmoors Trail series event, the Wainstones, took place around some circular routes from Chop Gate, which saw Hayley Addison cross the line as the first female in the 10K event in 1:44:03. In the marathon distance, Dave Jones finished in 5:43:49 along with Rebecca Jones (6:53:36) and Dave Thompson (7:08:34), while in the half marathon, Karen Dove completed the route in 6:51:51 with Fiona Dixon in 6:52:05.

Several runners headed over to the Lake District for the Kentmere Trail Races, held along a circular route from Staveley and above the Kentmere valley. In the 18K trail challenge, David Aiken finished in 1:36:54 along with Rebecca Howard (1:43:43), Adrian Gooding (1:45:51), Claire Chapman (2:17:39), Tom Chapman (2:17:39), Paul Ryan (2:37:01), Hannah Alderson (2:41:17) and Helen Clarke (2:41:18). In the 18K trail race, Dawn Richardson came home in 1:38:30, while Rachel Grayson completed the 5K race in 53:39.

Closer to home, five travelled up to Durham for the 10 mile trail race there, which started in the city and headed along the Weardale Way. Chris Minto completed the undulating route in 1:39:14 followed by Rob Gillham (1:42:46), Chris Evans (1:44:59), Jo Meynell (2:02:39) and Gemma Eddy (2:09:01).
