Most Quakers were to be found at the races last weekend.

The Thirsk 10 mile race took place over a fairly flat route which started and finshed at the racecourse ground. Kevin Scott completed the route in 1:08:40 followed by David Whittle (1:17:26), Ian Hart (1:18:24), Gary Read (1:18:47), Steven  Major (1:18:47), Andrew Walker (1:19:04), Mike Watson (1:19:09), Anna Harris (1:28:01), Darren Alderson (1:29:31), Jo Meynell (1:32:43), Paul Appleton (1:38:07), Melissa Hird (1:40:59), Jeanette Appleton (1:43:16), Kelly Smith (1:51:54).

Two Quakers travelled up to the latest Run Northumberland event held along the bank of the Tyne near Ovington. In the 20 mile distance, Angela Clement finished in 3:13:34, while in the half marathon race, David Matthew came home in 1:28:57.

Six runners stayed in town for the 5K trail race taking place over at West Park. Phil Rutter completed the four lap route in tenth place overall in 23:07 followed by Chris Evans (25:41), Gill Colling (30:17), Alison Hardwick (33:58), Viv Hardwick (33:58) and Rachel Grayson (36:08).

In the Saturday morning parkruns, Dave Jones finished at South Park in 18:30 followed by Gareth Kyle (19:26), Adrian Cottam (19:35), Diane Vaughan (22:43), Jonathan Eccles (23:29), Andrew Vernon (24:40), Rob Gillham (24:45), Neil Scollick (24:48), Ginny Gannaway (24:49), Ian Hart (25:12), Lisa Bowerbank (25:13), Carl Foxton (25:24), Stuart Masterman (25:26), John Mcgrath (25:28), Gary Read (25:33), Julie Bell (27:10), Hannah Alderson (27:23), Elizabeth Kennedy (27:27), Stephen Moore (27:39), Kathryn Gray (27:52), Peter Cowan (28:30), Sarah Watson (28:53), Mark Blewitt (28:58), Jo Meynell (29:13), Martin Mcgregor (29:29), Richard Hughes (29:52), Anne-Michelle Whitley (30:25), Neil Gooding (30:28), Emma Joyeux (31:06), Charlie Johnson (31:13), Michelle Scruby (31:25), Mark Trowles (32:28), Gemma Marshall-Moore (38:53), Olly Marshall-Moore (38:53), Linda Gossage (41:26), Naomi Dixon (41:39), Dawn Raper (43:19) and Wendy Thompson (43:20).

At Sedgefield, Wendy Colling ran there in 24:39 along with Jeff Marriott (27:10) and Richard Payne (28:44) while at Tees Barrage, Emma Good finished in 22:55 followed by Emily Beaumont (25:42) and Ian Scott (26:41). Janette Croft ran at Catterick in 28:46, Bryan and Michelle Dale did the Redcar run in 29:33 and 32:01 respectively, David Ledgerwood ran at Gibside in 59:00 and Anneli Mackenzie Brown did the Northallerton run in 33:05. Anthony Corbett ran at Jesmond Dene in 26:21, at Conyngham Hall, Phil Rutter and Gill Colling finished in 24:59 and 31:33 respectively, Andy Walker did the Manchester Alexandra run in 47:09, Peter Rowley ran at Lancaster in 27:35, Helen Spaven did the Heslington run in 27:49, Kirsty Smith Yates ran at Colchester in 27:49, while at Warwick, Paul and Angela Taylor finished there in 25:28 and 29:50 respectively.
