All Quakers headed down to Yorkshire at the weekend, with just two races on the calendar.

The Brass Monkey half marathon took place down at York, starting and finishing at the racecourse. Michael Joyeux completed the flat 13.1 mile route in 1:13:38 followed by Dave Jones (1:23:26, PB), Dawn Richardson (1:26:05 and third in her age category), Darren Wright (1:26:53, PB), Gary Read (1:37:16), Chris Minto (1:38:09), Diane Vaughan (1:40:47), Brian Mclaren (1:41:01), Stephen Ash (1:41:37), Andrew Dixon (1:46:39, PB), Chris Evans (1:51:15), Jeff Marriott (1:58:40), Melanie Newton (1:58:54), Juliette Mclaren (1:59:47), Michael Oliver (2:02:40), Chris Land (2:15:15), Steven Johnston (2:21:13), Lisa Jenkins (2:22:02) and James Simpson (2:24:35).

Three travelled down to Leeds for the Temple Newsam Ten, a ten mile route held in the grounds of the estate itself. Philippa Rayner, Helen Whiting and Mary Macivor all completed the muddy off-road route together in 2 hours 11 minutes.

Midweek had seen David Matthew at the inaugural Steel River 5 Mile race at Middlesbrough, completing the five one-mile lap route in tenth place overall in 31:18.

At Catterick, Thomas Gannaway finished in 21:19 along with Ginny Gannaway (24:31), Elizabeth Kennedy (27:14), Helen Spaven (31:01) and Andy Walker (45:35), while at Sedgefield, Wendy Colling ran there in 25:10 followed by Richard Payne (29:23), Jeff Marriott (29:41), Gill Wallis (36:01), Rachel Grayson (36:26) and Stacey Thompson (38:44). At Tees Barrage, Ian Hart and Mike Watson finished in 23:31 and 24:05 respectively, Anthony Corbett did the Wetherby run in 26:53, at Northallerton, Phil Rutter finished in 23:37 along with Gill Colling in 30:00, while Stuart Hardcastle did the Wepre run in 26:04. North of the Border, David Ledgerwood did the Glasgow Pollok run in 27:40, while Michelle Dale did the Livingston Polkemmet run in 39:13.
