QRC members celebrating after the event
Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.
Organised by our Mental Health Champions Diane Lockhart and Brian McLaren and assisted by Juliette McLaren, this year’s QRC’s Run and Talk was a fun steady with a difference, designed to highlight the benefits of running and talking.
Groups, supported by QRC coaches and run leaders, set off from the Tapas Bar, and followed clues on a map to find information before returning back to the Tapas bar for some refreshments. Results were very close with just one point between the 1st and 2nd teams.
Well done to ‘Old Spice’ (Lee, John, Paul, Ruth and Lisa) who were closest to the correct answer and received a bespoke souvenir wooden medal. Well done to everyone involved and thank you to The Tapas Bar for hosting us. A good time was had by all!
