25 November 2017 – Ravenstonedale Red

Another great turnout for the picturesque but challenging 10k at Ravenstonedale, with 30 Quakers taking part. Alex Kiel took the outright race win in 34:23, but the 50 championship points went to Brian Martin, with an age graded time of 33:07. Lead Quaker woman was once again Louise Trainor, taking 46 points with an age graded time of 40:10.

26 November 2017 – Gavin Duffy Memorial

14 Quakers visited Cowpen Bewley for the penultimate championship race, a 5k trail run in memory of Billingham athlete Gavin Duffy. Following a (very fast!) guest appearance from GB athlete Matty Hynes, Marc Ellis was first Quaker over the line (ag 18:36), but once again it was Brian Martin who claimed the full 50 points, with an age graded time of 17:34. Lucia Minto was first female Quaker, with an age graded time of 25:27.

Well done everyone that took part! Great running.

We now wait for the results to come in from today’s Eskdale Eureka – the final Club Championship round, and the title decider – depending on which Quakers take part, and how they perform… it’s going to the wire this year!
