10 September 2017 – Vale of York Half Marathon
8 Quakers avoided the lure of the Great North Run, to take part in the Vale of York Half Marathon. It was a flat and fast course which is said to be a great course for a PB. Brian Martin had a fantastic race taking 50 Championship points for the men in a time of 01:25:33. Nicola Wells took 48 points for the women in another great time of 01:38:40. Great running!
Well done to everyone that took part.
The next club championship race is the Snape 10k trail race on Saturday 23 September – there is still time to enter and entries can be taken on the day. This is shortly followed by the Thirsk Relays on Sunday 24 September. What a great way to start the cross-country season.
Don’t forget to take a look at the Club Championship page for full details of the Club Championship, including race listings, all race results and the latest championship table.
