Despite a large number from the club travelling to Holland, we still had a huge turnout at Richmond, where 27 Quakers ran the hilly 10k. Alex Kiel took the 50 points, Paul Dalton was second and Dave Jones third. Lyndsay Lester was our top lady followed by Rebecca Bowes and Sue Woodcock.
On the same day we had a couple of Quakers in Stanley for the Hellhole 10k. Michael Joyeux was first and Simon Rek came second.
Julie Whinn was the sole Quaker in Boroughbridge for the boggy Shaun Lee Johnstone Memorial Race and picked up a useful 50 points for getting her feet wet.
The battle for the runner-up trophy is getting interesting. Paul Dalton has moved into second place, just a point ahead of Marc Ellis, but Michael Joyeux could potentially leapfrog both of them. Dawn Richardson is our highest placed lady followed by Sandra Martin who has a 12 point advantage over Julie Whinn.
The next event is the Locke Park 10 on Sunday October 23rd.
