Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

Organised by our Mental Health Champions Diane Lockhart and Brian McLaren and assisted by Juliette McLaren, this year’s QRC’s Run and Talk was a fun steady with a difference, designed to highlight the benefits of running and talking.

Groups set off from the Quakers Public House, and followed clues on a map to find information before returning back to the pub for some refreshments.

Congratulations to ‘Darlo Dashers’ (James, Malcolm, Chris and Rob) who were closest to the correct answer. In 2nd place were ‘The Team With No Name’ and ‘Famous Five’ took 3rd place.

There was also a ‘guess how many’ sweet jar; Famous Five guessed there were 64 sweets which was closest to the actual 62. The team very kindly donated the prize to the raffle for the upcoming Quakers’ social event on 9th March, which is raising money for Darlington and South Durham MS Group.

Well done to everyone involved and thank you to The Quakers Pub for hosting us. A good time was had by all!
