May Achievements

During May our club members have completed in 41 different races over all terrains.

Over the May Day bank holiday weekend Wendy Colling set a new Club Record for the furthest distance raced of 160 miles in just over 48 hours.  In the same event Mark Colling became the 11th person to join Hardmoors 1000 club.

Sarah Bayles achieved a personal best at the Keswick Half marathon and Brian Martin was 1st in his age category.

At the Kirkby Moorside 10k a new personal best was set for Ty Hankinson.

The Spring Coast Road was a great race for new personal best times.  Those that achieved them are Brian Martin, Dale Chapman, Dawn Richardson also 1st in her age category, Michael Joyeux, Michelle Scruby, Sandra Martin and Sarah Watson.

In the Summer Tees Trail Preston 5k Dawn Richardson was the second female finisher.

At the Tees Barrage 10k Dave Jones and Andy Whittam both ran new personal best times.

In the local Raby Castle 10k we saw Michael Joyeux take 3rd place and Michael Parry 9th.  Dawn Richardson was 1st female finisher.

Down at the scenic Ripon 10 miler Brian Martin was 2nd in his age category and Daniel Orton set a new personal best.

At the Locke Park event over a 5 mile distance Paul Dalton was 7th and Dawn Richardson was 2nd female.  Phil Rutter took a new personal best and Phil Clarke set a new Cjlub record.

At the Derwent Dash 10k, Diane Vaughn was 2nd in her age category.

In the 7.5 miles Pier to Pier event Brian Martin was 3rd in his age category.

The Hardmoors marathon at Osmotherley Phil Rutter was 1st in his age category whilst Michael Joyeux was 1st in the half marathon.

At the Fulwell Quarry 10k Sandra Martin was 2nd in her age category.

In the Whitsun Woodland trail with a distance of 7.5 miles Michael Parry was in 2nd place.

At the 95-miles-long West Highland Way, Annette Clark was not only the 1st female but the 1st lady to complete the race in the three years it has taken place.

In the Darlington Race for Life Dawn Richardson was the 1st lady to reach the finish.

Over the Whit Bank holiday weekend the Edinburgh Marathon Festival event took place. Ty Hankinson and David Ledgerwood both ran new personal best times in the marathon distance. Michelle Scruby set a new personal best in the half marathon and Diane Vaughn was 3rd in her age category.

Michael Joyeux broke the club record for parkrun at Albert Park.
