The latest league and championship race took place last weekend at a sunny, but very windy Billingham.

First home for the club at the Ray Harrison 10K was Paul Dalton, who finished sixth overall in 36:09. He was followed home by Stephen Moore (41:24), Andrew Vernon (42:36), Rob Gillham (43:05), Gary Read (43:14, PB), Paul Keedy (44:29), Chris Minto (45:04), David Aiken (45:14), Steven McAllister (45:57), Danny Gordon (48:41), Sarah Watson (52:11), Paul Appleton (52:20), Steven Johnston (52:39), Sandra Cass (53:25), Nigel Walker (54:23), Colin Smith (56:15), Jeanette Appleton (56:53), Sally Singleton (59:00) and Alan Prest (1:04:24).

The weekend had also seen the Gateshead Trail 10k race where James Simpson finished in 1:01:48.

The previous week had seen the latest event in the Hardmoors Trail series, this time at Saltburn. In the marathon distance, Wendy Colling, April Corbett and Anthony Corbett all completed the course together in 6 hours 23 minutes. Meanwhile in the (always longer than normal) 10K race, Kirstin Himsworth was the second female finisher in 1:06:24, followed by Mark Colling (1:07:13) and Diane Adkins (1:39:57).

In the Saturday morning parkruns, Paul Dalton was first home at South Park in 18:33, followed by Dale Chapman (18:49), Dawn Richardson (19:20), Richard Hughes (19:21), Richard Coulson (19:40), Phil Rutter (21:25), Ewan Henderson (21:48), David Whittle (22:25), Zoe Rothery (22:28), Neil Scollick (23:48), Mark Blewitt (24:28), David Matthewson (24:45), David Hood (25:22), Gary Read (25:23), David Aiken (27:24), Sarah Leach (28:41), Lee Morris (30:27), Sarah Watson (30:27), Adrian Dent (35:06) and Lucy Bendle (41:52).

At Sedgefield, Nick Mason finished in 19:54, along with Dave Thompson (22:22), Steve Mcallister (22:30), Wendy Colling (23:39), April Corbett (24:06), Anthony Corbett (25:31), Mark Colling (25:31), Gill Colling (30:24), Diane Adkins (35:00) and Jill Wallis (41:06). Over at Tees Barrage, Paul and Jeanette Appleton did 26:05 and 28:29 respectively, Stephen Moore ran at Albert Park in 20:04 while Richard Payne completed Durham in 25:06.

Among this week’s tourists were Nick Wadd who ran at Fountains Abbey in 21:20, while Andrew Henderson did the run at Corby in 18:57.
