On a fairly quiet week for runs, the biggest turnout was to be found at a small 5K trail race, no doubt in part due to it being the latest club championship race.
Cowpen Bewley played host to the third race of the Stockton Summer Trail series, where Michael Joyeux was first home for the club in 18:13. He was followed home by Rob Dent in 20:59, then Mark Robinson (21:31), Dale Chapman (21:42), Ewan Henderson (21:48), Paul Keedy (22:52), Gary Read (23:23), Stephen Moore (23:41), Mark Colling (24:25), Anthony Corbett (24:39), Wendy Colling (25:30), Ty Hankinson (25:38), Steven Mcallister (25:39), April Corbett (25:55), Daniel Gordon (26:29), Jessica Campbell (26:41), Matt Jackson (26:58), Gill Colling (31:00), Emma Whitworth (32:12) and Diane Adkins (33:38).

Further afield at Hull, Nick Mason completed the 10K race there in 38:56, along with Bridget Stewart in a new PB of 51:31.

Amongst those venturing off road were Dave Thompson, Annette Clarke and Charlie Bogg, who were the first runners home in the 20th Alwinton Round, a 20 mile race in the Cheviots. All three crossed the line together in 4 hours 33 minutes. Meanwhile Abbie Hull completed the Wharfedale Trail half marathon, in fairly cloudy conditions, in 2:23:45.
