With both the final league race of the season and cross country on the calendar last weekend, once again there were plenty of people doubling up.

At the Ravenstonedale 10K race, Andrew Vernon finished in 41:32, followed by Dawn Richardson (41:45), Colin Wild (41:56), Darren Wright (44:47), Louise Trainor (45:06), Ty Hankinson (46:21), Rebecca Howard (49:05), Michael Oliver (49:57), Wendy Colling (50:18), Anthony Corbett (51:07), Paul Appelton (51:40), Richard Payne (51:48), April Corbett (52:29), James Simpson (54:18), Sarah Watson (55:04), Michelle Boshier (55:08), Steven Johnston (55:41), Sandra Cass (55:49), Neil Scollick (56:21), Jeanette Appleton (56:46), Paul Hutchinson (1:00:25), Rebecca Bowes (1:00:51) and Alan Prest (1:08:25).

The latest cross country race took place just down the road at a fairly muddy Croft. In the women’s race, which also included the under 17 boys and over 65 men, Ewan Henderson completed the approximately 6K distance in 25:50 along with Louise Trainor (27:57), Wendy Colling (30:44), Rebecca Howard (30:59), Lesley Miller (31:41), Danny Gordon (31:54), Michelle Boshier (32:58), Sue New (33:47), Bev Snook (34:08), Elaine Cooper (34:25), Joanne Todd (35:27), Hannah Robinson (36:22) and Paula Roberts (38:27).

In the men’s race which took place over approximately 8K, Michael Joyeux finished in 29:26, followed by Brian Martin (32:27), Andrew Vernon (33:19), Michael Kay (34:12), Matt Capsey (35:22), Mark Tallon (35:39), Phil Rutter (36:30), Darren Wright (36:49), Richard Hughes (37:02), David Todd (37:06), Graham Park (37:33), David McClachlan (38:02), Ty Hankinson (38:33), Paul Roberts (38:35), David Aiken (38:57), Simon Rek (39:53), Chris Minto (40:00), Peter Dods (40:12), Gary Read (40:22), Stephen McCallister (40:55), Gavin Armstrong (41:23), Billy Harris (41:57) and James Simpson (43:58).

Two headed up to Ponteland for the 10 mile race there, with Phil Clarke finishing in 1:12:35 and Dave Thompson in 1:14:34

The previous week had also seen the second race in the Stockton Winter 5K series, this time at Cowpen Bewley, for the Gavin Duffy Memorial Race. First across the line was Michael Joyeux in 18:14, followed by Andrew Vernon (21:31), Ewan Henderson (23:00), David Aiken (23:25), Stephen Moore (24:01), Paul Roberts (24:08), Ty Hankinson (24:49), Anthony Corbett (25:46), Richard Payne (26:53), Gary Read (28:18), Danny Gordon (28:50), James Simpson (29:19), Lewis Boshier (31:22) and Diane Adkins (36:36).

In the Saturday morning parkruns, there was a 1-2 at South Park with Michael Joyeux finishing in 16:59, ahead of Paul Dalton in 17:37, and followed by Marc Ellis (18:09), Gary Read (20:40), Dale Chapman (20:56), Nick Wadd (20:57), Rob Gillham (21:56), David Todd (22:17), Zoe Rothery (22:33), Steve Mcallister (23:00), Gavin Armstrong (23:10), Peter Rowley (23:22), Phill Hall (24:40), Darryn Wood (26:17), Julien Deckard (26:20), Andrew Vernon (27:48), Sarah Watson (27:49), Paula Roberts (28:24), Juelz Lee-Deckard (28:47), Sally Singleton (28:57), Glyn Casswell (29:48), Adrian Dent (37:41) and Michael King (41:49).

Over at Sedgefield, Dave Thompson completed the run there in 23:07, along with Wendy Colling (23:58), Paul Roberts (25:12), Julie Whinn (28:28) and Diane Adkins (33:34), while Stephen Moore ran at Albert Park in 19:54.

Flying the Quaker flag overseas was Matt Jackson who completed the East Coast parkrun in Singapore in 26:04.
